Robinson is a visual artist who investigates ideas of identity and place. Using Morse code, flag semaphore and the flag form Robinson appropriates symbols of American exceptionalism informed by her upbringing in the military and “American” ideals. She uses histories, language and place to question what it means to be from a place.
