THE RESIDENCY
The estudiosix program prioritizes long-term research, experimentation, and independent production, emphasizing process over immediate outcomes so artists can develop ambitious work without contraints.
Specifically, e6 is structured around a balance of independence and collective responsibility.
Residents maintain full autonomy over their work while actively participating in a shared program that includes:
-
Monthly group critiques
-
Informal peer mentorship
-
Visiting artists and curators
-
Public programs and exhibitions
Rather than operating as a top-down institution, e6 functions as a community of practitioners who shape the program together, by artists, for artists.

Selection Process
Residents are selected through an open application process.
Applications are reviewed by a rotating committee of artists, curators, and cultural practitioners with diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
Selections are based on:
-
a strong and reflective artistic practice
-
a clear proposal or focus for your time in e6
-
engagement with current discourses in contemporary art
-
a willingness to participate in the e6 community. An openness to dialogue and collaboration is imperative to the success of the program.
-
Commitment to minimum contact hours and sustained practice
e6 is committed to transparency, fairness, and accessibility in its selection process.
